Eight for Malawi

In less than 48 hours 8 of us arrive in Tanzania from various countries (United States, Canada, and Switzerland) to take on Kilimanjaro or Meru after a short acclimatization Safari that also helps with getting over jet lag. Mt. Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest peak at 19,341' and will be taken on by Dudley, Loren, Nicholas, David, and myself. Mt. Meru is Africa's 5th highest peak 14,980' (higher than any Lower 48 mountain) and will be taken on by Desiree, her son Jack (a 7 year old), and Barbara. Meru will be a first for the Clean Water Climb!

They may be different mountains, but the goal is the same – trekking high mountains for a much higher purpose – bringing clean water and Living Water (God's Holy Spirit) to people who live extremely difficult lives. Our difficulties will last only 8 days (Kilimanjaro) or 3 days (Meru), but for the people who live in rural Malawi they will last a lifetime.

After the hike we head to Malawi. We will:

  • see where the villagers collect their contaminated water.

  • repair their water wells.

  • share our personal testimonies and 5 Bible stories.

  • leave them Bibles in Chichewa.leave them with Bible Story Flash Cards in Chichewa (for them to memorize and share with their neighbors).

  • leave them Solar Powered Audio Bibles that will have the entire Bible in English and Chichewa as well as 43 Discipleship Lessons in Chichewa for them to grow in their knowledge of God's Word and obedience to Jesus.

My Status:

Annual Goal: I am also currently at $97,102 or 43.2% of my 2024 goal of $225,000 for clean water! I am literally less than $3000 from the $100K milestone and less than $15,500 from 50% of my goal! Thank you so much and to God be the Glory for the great work He is doing through you!!

Matching Goal:
I am currently at $46,140 or 46% towards the $100,000 May 1st matching offer! Literally less than $4000 from having raised 50% of the $100K offer to be matched!
